It isn't mandatory to have this, but it helps if you don't like deathclaws roaming around below the first couple of levels. So along with high damage weapons, make sure they have a decent rate of fire. I had my radio room set up with missile launchers and fat mans, but soon found out that with the slow rate of fire, that the Deathclaws won't take enough damage, and would continue to terrorize the rest of the vault. That's usually enough to keep them from advancing to the second level. My normal setup is to have two level 50's in the entrance with 22+ dmg weapons, and a three wide radio room with the best weapons that I have at the time, and a Mr. I suggest, when you have spare dwellers, to make two of them guard the entrance, to soften up anything that finds its way in. They WILL show up!Īnd when they do, be prepared! Have your highest leveled dwellers equipped with your most powerfull weapons on the first floor. Every time that you radio room's counter reaches zero, you will have a chance that either a dweller will show up, or a random attack And yes, having more than one radio room broadcasting to the outside CAN attract multiple attacks! Bottle and Cappy don't seem to attract them for some reason? Just give it time.

Sending out dwellers and making the radio room broadcast to the wasteland will increase the chances of Deathclaws finding your vault. Like all of the other ensounters, they are random.
